Quiet night at the Royal

Not enough people to start a brawl.

Well it must have been a cracking night on telly cos the good people of Carnforth didn`t venture out of their houses last night.
We thoroughly enjoyed rocking out anyway, and it was a good opportunity to tighten up half a dozen new songs.

Massive thanks to the Dakota crew, Trig,Cath,Sharon and Ady for travelling up (and paying to stay over) and lending their support. If it hadn`t been for you guys the room would have been nigh on empty. Can`t thank you enough.
Best of luck finding a new frontman.

p.s.

It`s no wonder pubs are going by the wayside, really felt for Sue at the Royal last night, she does her best to get decent acts on a regular basis, but is still struggling to pull in the punters. She seemed happy enough though.......leathered in fact.

Seems to be the case for a lot of venues. 'Reality' and 'Pseudo' talent show crap on the box, cheap booze at the supermarkets, smoking bans. Time of year, not enough 'disposable income' who knows, but I guess some of these factors have a bearing.

I for one would be glad to see a return to the days or should that be nights when the pubs were the first choice for a night out.

We were busier than most, but still far too quiet for my liking.

Well done anyway guys.

A fantastic gig last nite Chris, regardless of the turnout mate, and that is in no way a reflection on the band dude, there are quite a few dissapointed bands this weekend with poor attendance, but thats the sign of the times and the ever looming Christmas spending spree's, Phew ! thank God i am a millionaire ehh ? lol i fuckin wish !
