Xmas Shopping is nick'in yer Audience!

Posted By : DYEHOUSE | Comments : 26

noticed a lot of bands reporting a poor turnout this week end!

We had no gig this Saturday so I went out to do my shopping instead!
I could see immediately why there was no one in the pubs?
everywhere was heaving with late night shoppers???
So could be even worse next week?
Is it worth it? knowing were gonna be playing to a handful of people?
I'm not so sure I wanna bother!

@ dyehouse- seems that way, g? don't "do" the c***s thingy myself, but everywhere seems far busier than usual, which means it takes that much longer to get things done? plus-is a very expensive time, 'specially iffen one has a family and children? :-/

We will never do Slaves or HA gigs. We've turned Manc Chapters of both down a number of times. Nobody tells us who we can and cannot play for.

We've experienced it before in other bands and this one. If you play for HA you can't do Slaves gigs and vice-versa. There were SS there last night and they were miserable sods.

I have past experiance of SS's [bad ones] but they are differant people now they have all grown up with responsibilities like the rest of us! had a long talk with one of the leaders the other day and was a world away from my previous encounters with them?

Yeah, well, I suppose there are good and bad. But as long as the good tolerate the bad, we aren't interested. I was at a bike do about 4 years ago where one of them was showing someone his GUN in the toilets.

A lot of colds n flu around as well, not helping! I must also add that i was playing Hard Rock Hell festival in Wales with Marseille this past weekend and i did meet quite a few people from the NWB covers circuit at the festival so there's another reason!
