Gotcha.

I have patches set up on mine for in case my Switchblade breaks down. I also gigged it extensively with Bad Horsie using it through the FX return of my Mesa.Excellent results.

All the guitar on the tracks at this link are done with it too.

im always keeping open minded about these things, was eyeing up a pod xt live ages ago, even before i heard scotts great results with one, and with this new x3 could be the answer to my prayers(i love to have tons of versatility and options, but want it simple format and easy to use), i also need to be portable and a compact and small amount of gear, itd be a bold step but one im starting to really consider taking.......

Mine and Scotts were the only useable guitar rigs at the last PP jam night. I also do a lot of international collaborations using it. The only criticism I have of them is that there is no true bypass, so if you use it as a multi-fx through the loop, it will alter your sound a little.

Helpful hint: When setting patches up, do it through the medium you intend to use it through and at the volume you will be using it. I take a laptop with the editing software on it into our rehearsal space and tweak the live sounds at "war" volume.

ive got a few weeks to decide but whatever i get, this has gotta be it for a couple years, over my 19 years of playing guitar ive had all kinds of stuff and gotta really decide what to to for the forseeable duration and stick to it no matter what(until the next time lol)

ive been heard saying a few times lately about gear and setting up etc etc "i wish i could have all this stuff in one box" so hopefully this would go some ways towards it, and scott and the guys will vouch for the bad language i aired the other week, when i was round the back of a rack case messing about with loads of wires when something stopped working, and my power amp crapping out the other week was the final straw of a number of straws :-)

Best live case scenario: Combo amp that does the sounds you need, PodX3live, Either as backup or through the FX return to use it's internal Pre-amps. The Soldano 88 (I think) model does crunchy gain REALLY well.

As usual the offer of a place to turn it up loud and work on your sounds is open. :o)

Hi Rob i have had most of the various makes of sound processors, but i have had the line 6 pod xt live the longest, I have a roland vg99 which is very good, but it is not very easy to use infact it is very complicated, the xt is much easier to use and patches from the internet are free and some of them are really good, i am thinking of also getting an x3, if you want to have a go on my xt your more than welcome, you can have a look at the roland vg99 as well if you want just pm if you want to have a mess with it. cheers tony
