Manchester Rehearsal - North West Based

We currently looking for a Trombone player to join our 8 piece Blues Funk Soul and Motown band. Our band comprises of female vocals, keys, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, trumpet and trombone and has an age range from mid-20’s up to people in their 50’s.

While we have a very high standard of musicianship in the group, which ranges from fully qualified music teachers, instrument tutors, ex cruise ship players and people with a long history of playing, we all see this the band as something we enjoy doing and is not seen by anyone in the group as a “job”. We all pay our mortgages by other means, so anyone solely after “the money” would be discouraged from applying.

All the brass/ horn parts are scored and can range from simple key signatures to 5 or 6 sharps / flats and fast tempo’s so must be comfortable playing in different keys. Band members are based around the Greater Manchester area but we rehearse in Salford near Media City.
Our current trombone player is looking to leave ASAP as they may be moving away from the area shortly and cannot commit to any gigs past summer, and we are being asked to quote for weddings towards the end of 2017 and 2018. We have gig’s lined up in June onwards so it important to have someone lined up ready for then. We will start auditing players in May, so if you would like to be considered please contact Andy either via email souldoutband@hotmail.co.uk or mobile 0787 652 8016.

Further information about the band can be found on our website. https://www.souldoutband.co.uk
