Hard Rock Hell was ace! Best organized festival that I have been to

I was playing with Marseille at HRH III this past wekend....what a well organized festival that is! No trouble and everything ran like clockwork! I have to admit that the shock for me ws how many people turned up a the Marseille signing session! Considering people were stopping Neil all day for his autograph I didn't foresee anyone being interested in the rest of us but loads showed up to wish us all the best and I was truly humbled.

Also fantastic to see a few people who knew me as the singer from Wolfpack, one guy from Belgium says he's coming over to see Wolfpack on the 19th December in Bolton!!!! That would be a story eh?

Cheers
Nidge

Its my Andy Warhol "five minutes of fame" mate ha ha
If it makes everyone feel better then i bet you all earned more playing the NWB circuit than we did for playing HRH this weekend! The rider was nice though ;-)

Aye and I got very drunk and went round the VIP hugging all my heroes ha ha, I was so not cool but i would rather be remembered for that than the band that threw a tv out the window and trashed their chalet! Yes it happened!

Also i will be remembered by the band in the next chalet, ELIXIR, for snoring so loud that they were banging on the walls shoulting "Shut the fuck up!" This at a rock festival!!!!

It's official Nidge is louder than metal! Ha ha

Nice one guys ... although it was a shock to find out Her Maj has croaked and we're on to HRH III

Yes Willow i could also have pointed put that all the bands on our stage played for the publicity and not cash! We supped our body weight in free booze though so it may have been cheaper to pay us ha ha ;-)

Question guys.

Is that the same band who used to play in Liverpool in Kate 70s early 80s , because if it is, you guys were superb.

Best wishes

John

Lol I remember watching you guys years ago. Was there when you won battle of the bands (I think) at Empire.

Great band sir.

Will have to try and get babysitter in so can see you again.

Best wishes

John

That's the one mate, i am the only one who wan't in the band back then but that is how it all started for Marseille as they won a four album deal but the label went bust after 2 albums! It's atragic story really as the label manager was a multi millionaire and he died in aplane crash and his wife hated the label so she pulled the plug, within a week marseille were left stranded in the USA whilst on tour with Nazareth and Blackfoot!

Bloody hell - I always wondered why Marseilles disappeared overnight; couldn't have had more bad luck. Glad they're making a comeback.

Yes but Neil did ok for himself breaking into TV with Number 73, Motormouth and then Art Attack!! He sold up Art Attack to Disney and picked up the guitar again and now Marselle is a full time gig for Neil, the rest of us need to wait a while before we can do that but it allows Neil to spend all his time mixing and producing our new album at least!
