What an unusual but great night
We had a fantastic night but what an unusual crowd this is. Considering it is only about half a mile from our base at the Beaumont Arms no one showed up from there so we had a pub of regulars. I think other things to do and the weather contributed to this . It looked like being one of those night where the crowd is ok but not large and you play to hopefully what will be an appreciative audience. How wrong we were. They showed no appreciation at all through clapping after the songs just the odd one but during the songs they went absolutely mad. Dancing around the pub standing on the monitors getting up singing and these were mostly middle aged men and young girls. We even had dancing and chanting during the sound check. When you finished they returned to their drinks without a sound before repeating the whole process again. They were appreciative with their comments at the end but it all led to a fantastic but slightly bizarre night but definately looking forward to doing this one again in the new year and hopefully our home supporters will not be too scared from coming out next time
