Status Quo head New Years honours list!

It'll be us next! OK perhaps not?

Off the net;

Status Quo guitarist and singer Rick Parfitt admits that he had almost given up hope of a New Years honour because of his rock and roll lifestyle but says that because of all the charity work he has done with other members of the band he feels that he deserves his OBE. Francis Rossi also became an OBE and said that he thinks people who turn down the honour because it isn’t rock and roll enough are idiots. He said that he wasn’t sure if he and Rossi deserved the award but admitted that he was incredibly excited about the whole thing.

In 2009 Status Quo were on stage more than any other major rock band meaning that they are one of the world’s hardest working bands. They have thirty-two albums to their name and have spent a total of nearly eight years in the U.K. charts. Only the Rolling Stones can claim a bigger career.

he's very underated!
you realise it when you start playing a few of there songs?
can be an eye opener if you think it's a 3 chord band as they often get called?
