steelfield-ah! we have a hopeful sign-the gritters have have just been down one of the avenues near me-that means the main roads have been done, plus it hasn't snowed for about an hour? looking better. (says viking crossing things he didn't know he had'cause he really, really wants the gig to happen!!)

Happy New Year Alan & Sharon. I've just cleared the snow off the car and drive, and just seen Steelfield's blog. Shame that cos it looks to be starting to thaw over in Royton and the gritters are doing a sterling job...........see what happens eh!
