Based in the north west of England,Cold Flame are a very well established group of accomplished musicians who have worked with some of the premier rock and blues acts in the UK. They play both acoustic and electric based music which have earned them headlining status in both small and medium sized venues - indoor and outdoor..In recent years they have extended their musical appearences to include live and radio performances in a number of countries in mainland Europe including Italy,Austria and France.
Formed in 1984 primarily to perform original blues and rock music the band has evolved and developed through the years presenting audiences with a full range of musical genres whilst still remaining close to their rocking blues roots.Whilst performing mostly in the north of England and the Midlands,Cold Flame have performed right across the country and also in mainland Europe mostly as a headlining act or supporting some of the premier rock acts in Britain such as Uriah Heep, Dr.Feelgood, Hawkwind, Steve Gibbons Band and Mick Abrahams Blodwyn Pig. The band have extensive experience in performing at music festivals,biker rallies and real ale events.High on visuals and excellent musicianship,the band have incorporated their musical roots in covering the music of many of the giants of rock and blues music alongside their own acclaimed explosive original vindaloo rocking blues material which still remains the key factor in the band's live and visual performances.

Covers performed by the band include many of the rock and blues acts of the 60's and 70's such as Free, Whitesnake, Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher though they also include some very modern rock pieces as well such as Kula Shaker and The Verve. Additionally the band uses their experience of being a Blues Brothers tribute band for over 10 years to good effect.This allows great flexibility in being able to perform in a variety of venues to different audiences.As a result Cold Flame are often booked for private functions
When not performing their original and covers music,Cold Flame moonlight as one of the premier Jethro Tull tribute acts in the UK with a two hour plus show packed with classic Tull material - high on humour, visuals and quality music.These shows feature multi instrumentalist Peter Cheetham who even looks a tad like Ian Anderson.The band are currently rehearsing a new stage act for tribute shows in the summer of 2012.Check out the following link...
Cold Flame's acoustic performances are a lively mixture of English and celtic acoustic and electric folk rock music. Violins, mandolins, guitars, vocals and percussion merge together in a heady cocktail that ranges from gentle ballads to rowdy foot stomping jigs and reels.Whilst original music is to the fore influences and music ranging from Jethro Tull and Fairport Convention to Bob Dylan,John Martyn,Paul Weller,The Beatles and Del Amitri also feature in the lighter shades of the band.Acoustic shows are mainly performed around Greater Manchester and North west England with the chaps appearing regularly on local radio stations, headlining regional beer and folk festivals as well as being booked for weddings and similar private functions.More recently the chaps have visited Europe where they have performed at both indoor and outdoor festivals in a number of countries. Recently the band expanded to a five piece with the inclusion of new recruit - international violinist Jo Atherton who currently is also to be found playing on Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds European stadium tours.
