'' Cowboy hats, Daisy Dukes, checked shirts and string ties. The only thing missing was the leather chaps, but they're coming next time.
It could only mean another rollicking night with Tex & The Hardcore Troubadours...
Featuring rocked-out-n-countrified versions of "Steamy Windows" and "Hey Joe", a touch of foot-tapping to "Crazy little thing called love" and "Purple rain", the most bizarrely brilliant fusion of "Toxic" and "Theme from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly''" (which was demanded again for the encore) and, of course, some Johnny Cash these guys are one of the most downright entertaining bands to watch and listen to that we've had in here.
Roll on the next gig!'' The Bike n Hound, Hyde. June 2014

''An amazing band!! We will definitely be seeing these again soon!!'' Bispham Hall Club, Billinge, Wigan May 2014

''Holy Shit. These guys are like glue. People come. They can't leave'' Bike n Hound, Feb 2015

Another stonking gig from Tex and the boys last night - so glad they were able to fill in last minute !
One of those nights where you can't actually stop yourself tapping along to their terribly catchy style of rock, mixed with a little bit of country, and the occasional smattering of punk and rockabilly. Their rendtion of 'I wanna do bad things to you' proving a popular choice with certain ladies in the venue.
You really can't lose when these guys play! Bike n Hound May 2015

''Great band, we haven't seen the last of these fellas'' Leek Blues & American Festival Oct 2015

What a great night with Tex and The Mighty Troubadours last night- these guys more than lived up to expectations !!! great musicians, slick set and very entertaining- looking forward to their return !!! The Dungeon Inn Tottington Jan 2016

''It has to be said, Tex and his merry band remain one of the most entertaining bands on the circuit. They don't need no stinkin' stage - they just play wherever the hell they like in the pub. And we like that kind of attitude.
They never cease to amaze with their musical skill and imagination, reworking well known tracks by the likes of the Kings of Leon, Britney Spears and Nick Cave to their own twisted rock/country fusion beat.
They've got an album in the working at the moment, and while it's impossible to compare the energy of a live show, I think it's gonna be a corker.
Watch this space.'' Bike n Hound Hyde, Feb 2016

It really was a lesson in how it's done. The band was a tight as a tight thing on tight day, (even with a guitarist in a plaster cast), and everything was well rehearsed.
Great sound and every number played to perfection but it is the stagecraft that a lot of bands could learn from. They have identified an Identity and they minute they start playing they slip into that role.
They set out to entertain from the word go and succeeded. No guitar wankery between numbers and plenty of banter with the punters.
Rumble Fat Band

Though the cowboy image of the band would suggest a night of country and western tunage, it is far more than that. Yeah there's the odd song Johnny Cash may have covered (Personal Jesus) and the wonderful alt country 'Bad Things' (from True Blood) together with a couple of country rock CCR tunes, but the band also stamp their unique style on songs such as Nick Cave's 'Red Right Hand', Billy Idol's 'White Wedding' and the Cult classic 'Lil Devil'. We've all heard the acoustic version of Ace Of Spades from the beer ad but the Troubadours give it a real bluegrass treatment - a definite highlight in the set! These boys know how to entertain, the charisma and showmanship doesn't let up throughout and that tremendous version of 'Purple Rain' with just the right amount of country twang which really works! Jules, Brass Routes Feb 2016

What an amazing night with Tex and the Hardcore Troubadours- the crowd loved them and rightly so- these guys were showmen, musicians and entertainers of the highest level
The Dungeon Inn, Tottington April 2016

Absolutely brilliant band last night and a great crowd.Tex & The Hardcore Troubadours will be back in December Yee Haa Cross Axes Gt Harwood June 2016

These guys know how to put on a show and get the audience rocking
They describe themselves as 'Cowboy Rock' which is a great way of trying to explain their style.
From their theatrical stageshow to their brilliant covers of diverse and popular tunes
The Dungeon Inn, Tottington Jan 2017
